The Carbon Cycle
The carbon cycle involves the processes by which the Earth exchanges carbon dioxide (CO2) among different regions of the planet. There are four main regions of the earth involved in the carbon cycle where CO2 is recycled including the oceans, atmosphere, biosphere and geosphere.
It is important to understand nature’s own carbon cycle in order to understand how greenhouse gases build up in the atmosphere causing global warming and are not able to be circulated fast enough. Through burning fossil fuels, man has put a wrench in the carbon cycle and the solution is for man to reduce his carbon footprint upon the planet. Stumble It!
