Bosses Day

Bosses Day or National Boss Day is October 16, 2007 and is a day to recognize one's employer for having you as an employee. But, how does one acknowledge one's employer on Bosses Day without appearing to be a brownnose and a suck up?

Giving a sincere and relevant compliment is one way. Acknowledging your manager's recent personal or professional successes in a way that is genuine and not self-serving is another way. Humor that both you and you employer can laugh at together is another method. Many times a small gift as a token of appreciation is also welcome. Just don't overdo it or the brownnose moniker will surely be yours.
