The basic answer is that it’s not possible yet to run one’s car totally on water, only partially. Kid Nation is a new reality TV series from CBS where the kids run the show. Based in an old western town in New Mexico, Kid Nation introduces 40 children, ages 8 to 15 to a Survivor-like competition where the children participate in a showdown for money and privileges.

The hardest working youth every week receives a gold star with $20,000 and gets to call home to talk with his or her parents. The premise of Kid Nation is that these children get to form a working and functional town where adults before them have failed. It's quite a good social experiment and very entertaining as well.

Bosses Day or National Boss Day is October 16, 2007 and is a day to recognize one's employer for having you as an employee. But, how does one acknowledge one's employer on Bosses Day without appearing to be a brownnose and a suck up?

Giving a sincere and relevant compliment is one way. Acknowledging your manager's recent personal or professional successes in a way that is genuine and not self-serving is another way. Humor that both you and you employer can laugh at together is another method. Many times a small gift as a token of appreciation is also welcome. Just don't overdo it or the brownnose moniker will surely be yours.

The Republicans have Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson leading in the polls with John McCain struggling but putting on a brave face. The candidates have started their campaigns much earlier this time around than at any other time in history. But, the question is, will this pay off on election day, November 4, 2008?

Cool cars are everywhere from classics to concepts and everything in-between. When one speaks about cool cars one is rarely talking about hydrogen cars, however, with images of tofu eating gutless vehicles dancing in our heads.

But, hydrogen cars are some of the coolest cars or rather, hottest cars of all right now. Not only do they product zero emissions, but celebrities like Will Ferrell have signed on to drive one for an indefinite period of time. In addition, last week, the Ford 999 hydrogen-powered fuel cell race car set the land speed record for production vehicles at over 207 mph. Not bad for a tofu-eating gutless vehicle.

Space tourism is set to take off during the next two years. What many people don’t know is that space tourism is actually alive and well now. For instance, a company called Space Adventures has already sent five tourists to the International Space Station (ISS).

This same company is ready to announce two more space tourists for a flight to the ISS within the next couple of weeks. Expect each of these patrons to pay upwards of $20 million for this adventure. When suborbital space tourism comes online within the next two years, however, the prices will be more in the range of $100,000 per flight.

As if earthquakes, fires, car accidents and slip and fall incidents were not enough, now California personal injury lawyers have their hands full with Lindsay Lohan as well. There has been a lawsuit filed against Miss Lohan by Tracie Rice for infliction of emotional distress and assault involving the DUI incident and drug possession charges which Lohan was arrested.

According to the lawsuit, which does not specify damages, Miss Rice was riding in the back seat of the car that Lohan was chasing at high speeds in the Santa Monica area. The lawsuit states that Miss Rice could have been injured or killed because of the reckless behavior of Miss Lohan.

It's getting to be that time again with the new school year starting for many kids that science fair projects will be at hand. Parents, children and teachers will all have a hand in creating science fair projects that others will see and judge.

From volcanoes to tornadoes to bug displays and growing crystals, students will show off the science fair projects that they have worked so hard on to develop and present. But, the project itself isn't nearly so difficult as coming up with a viable and creative idea. In fact, many would say that coming up with a winning idea is the most important aspect of any science fair project.

2008 Olympics

The 2008 Summer Olympics is only 1 year away. The 2008 Olympics is being held in Beijing, China with 28 new events over the last international competition. Besides building the Beijing National Stadium, China has an even bigger challenge in the forefront.

The poor air quality in most of China’s largest cities has been under criticism especially now that greenhouse gases and global warming is a burning hot topic. China has vowed, however to move 200 factories and remove 60,000 polluting vehicles from the roads before the start of the 2008 Olympics.
